An Urge!

An urge to write
The emotional vibe
Your love, your feelings
From the core of your heart
It makes you feel same, as
An urge to bring
Justice, to fight
For a cause, for love and peace
For what is right
To bring smile on faces
Of those
Sad and deprived!
 It seems hard
Like walking down the road
With a blurred sight
In the midst of rainy night,
Like trying to fly a kite
Against the wind, high in sky
At an ultimate height,
Like to sail a boat
In sea, through its current
Through its high tide,
Like to burn a candle
In the evil dark, facing a cyclone
Holding it’s shaken, yet
High on spirit, it’s light!
It all may seem hard
Impossible to achieve, but
That’s where lies
The challenge, I accept
I will always
Continue to fight
I will always
Continue to write.

Keep Silence!

Keep silence
Like you never spoke
Your lips never parted
Like you never knew
If there is something called words
Leaving it to die, its premature death
Before alphabets could take any shape
Like you never heard
What is sound,
Even if it was chocking, right there
In your throat
Just listen
Don’t speak
You are not supposed to
Even if you are asked
Just nod, pretend
Don’t let your emotion roll
Keep it hidden
Emotion makes noise
Be careful
Keep your eyes shut
They say even they could speak
Whole story, silently
Just prohibit it
You are not supposed to
Disturb them
Else you would be punished
By the authorities
Of love, of loved ones
And your own soul would
Make you feel like a criminal
For hurting them
Just to make yourself feel better
Just to cry your heart out!

Encounter with Truth

A desperate try
To hide it, to fake it
Like no one is watching
Like no one would ever find
You lie, to none other than yourself
Oh you poor animal!

Your eyes wider, your muscles stressed
Your ears ringing, your hands shake
Heartbeat racing, breathes out of sync
Still you make your lips dance
Bringing an evil smile to distract
No one but your own soul!

You thought you could get away with that?
To fool someone was that easy,
Like telling a kid, there’s a granny on the moon
Shame on you, coward
Beware! Before it’s too late
Before it starts killing you, mercilessly
When you sleep, or in dream
When you awake, or at work
Before your own soul refuses
to recognize you, to forgive you!

You could never make truth your slave
Whether Keeping it decorated, or beneath diamond walls
Neither Make-up nor fancy gold sheet would work
It’s eternal; it is no one’s prisoner
And, once it would start dancing naked
You would beg for mercy, you would cry for death!

That Girl Wearing Kohl In Her Eyes…!

That girl wearing Kohl in her eyes
Eyes that were deep
Like a blue sea, full of life
Spoke love and grace
Silently, jovial soul of her
Flickering innocence all around
She walked like a fawn
Roaming in her own thoughts
Careless, afraid of being lost
Whispered something
Euphony swirled in the air
Making a rainbow of words
So musical, so magical
Like a poetry
Or a painting,
Carving an artist’s imagination
Perfectly into a piece of art, and
I felt a sudden urge
To explore, to steal,
To touch, to feel
Her soul, her beauty
Too curious I looked upon
And she was just smiling at me…

An Illusion

We live in a fake world
Most of time,
One full of fiction, deceptions
Where thing looks like we want
Where thing happens as we want
Where thing sounds what we want
Even when we know, it’s dangerous!
Even when we know the price
To be paid, once it’s over!

Do we love to be in, or
We are forced to?
We are not blind
Or deaf or senseless
Why than we are deluded, or
We fall to it, but somehow
Embarrassed to accept the truth?
Does it mean we lie,
To self, to our own soul, why?

A dark desire buried in heart
Deep and more, of name, of fame
To rule, to kill, and no shame
To stand on par with God
Slicing the throat of truth
Beneath the foot of lies,
Weaving a spider’s cocoon around self
Slowly behind our own shadow
We die in a fake world
Number of times!

PRAYER OF A DYING SOUL

Prayer of a dying soul
Missing words, breaking breath
Losing vision, slowing heartbeat
Still a prayer, to almighty God
Take me to your shadow
Let me be thy slave!

On the way to last journey
With Silence all around yet a fight
Soul to self, who did right
Who lived it or who would regret
And a fear griping around
Would it ever be able to stand in thy sight?

To confront self, to answer own soul
It always kept running away
Carrying loads of sin and lies
That it did day and night, though
Kept on weaving excuses and illusions
Making everything to appear full and bright!

A fight lost long ago
It knows it could never win, and
It knows, has nothing more to lose
But a last chance
Seeking forgiveness, it asks thee, the almighty God
Take me to your shadow
Let me be thy slave!

Shades Of Some Moments!

Shades of some moments
Scattered like a broken glass
Here and there, shining, blinking
Giving a glimpses, various colors
Mysterious faces and shapes
Of near and far, here and there
Squeezing through the sharp edges
Cruel yet tempting!

It reflected a part, absorbed some
In the tranquility of its own shadow
Though breaking sound kept it dwelling
Penetrated its soul, Next moment
When someone walked over it,
Thousand more like him were lying there
 Still carrying that beautiful scattering
Of the light, passing through them
A rainbow perhaps; even bigger!

Rejoice and Claps
It got, when placed on a center piece for display
Under the flickering of a tiny bulb
Filled the blank space with a sense of eternity
Scattering rainbow and images all around
Amazed by its beauty, I kept my hand over it,
Couldn’t escape an urge to feel it, to touch its tempting boundaries
When it pierced through my fingers,
Sucked the blood out of veins,
Bringing me back to reality, instantly
Felt that pain deep inside, Shocked and surprised
I looked at it again; unmoved, silent
It was still carrying that sense of eternity
The rainbow, the beauty, only difference
My blood was a part of that beauty now
Shining at the edges, even more tempting
Like a red lipstick on the lips of
A seductive lady!
