Let’s Play!

Let’s Play!

Let’s play
O dear time
The game of life
In your own courtyard
Under your own shadow
On your conditions
I accept your rules

Play rough
Play soft
Play hard
Play funny
Play fair
Play dirty
Play as you wish
I promise to amuse you

Play to live
Play to kill
Play to build
Play to destroy
Play on your own terms
I would never complain

Play
Like it’s no match
Like you are already a winner
Like there is nothing to challenge you
Like you would crush my existence
For this asininely act
Under your wheels forever and ever, and my soul
Would just vanish, as it never appeared

Even then I wish to play
O dear great Time
Let’s play
I promise
I would continue
I would rise
Every time I fall
I would resurge
Again and again, and
Will continue playing
The immortal game of life…

THIRSTY SOUL…

THIRSTY SOUL…

Thirsty soul
Walking by sea-shore
Looks through the horizon
Infinite water
With a Glimpse of hope
To quench its thirst
Dives through
Deep down
Swallows it all, but
Salt dilutes the blood
Tongue reacts
Spills it all, surprised
It looks to that
Infinite domain
Disappointed, it walks back
To the world, it left deserted,
World, of fading hopes, dead souls
Whose bloods polluted
The river, and
Water became an illusion
Alas! The moment of apocalypse
It thinks for a moment, and a sigh
Sits on the chair
Looks at the table
That still had a paper, a pen
An ink-pot with last few drops
Lying at the bottom,
Thirsty soul
Once again
Swallows it all,
Licks every last drop, of ink
Mixes with the blood
Nerves twitches
Venom or nectar
Uncertain, it dips the pen
In own heart, and decides
To rewrite the history
Of someone
Once called
Human!

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek
That we used to play
Long ago, in your backyard
Making our way through
Those plants of berries
Away from the crowd
From family, from everyone
Just you and me
Playing, hide and seek
Oh Dear! How easy was it
To catch you, to see you
Even behind those berry plants
Because my heart was always filled
With the smell
Of your jasmine body
Because we breathed same air
Dipped in love
That came from heaven, blessed by angels
Because our heartbeat
Sang same song
Even in midst
Of all the chaos around
And I knew
Where you hiding,
I used to find you, always
However hard you tried, to hide
What fun it was, and
You wondered, how could I
Did I cheat?
Did I keep my eyes open?
You used to ask
Showing a sweet frustation, smiling
I used to let you
Tighten your scarf on my eyes
And the play continued.
