Stand, Rise up!

Stand, Rise up!

To choose your own way
To make things right for yourself
To break free the inevitable raging war all around
To live up or die against life herself
You got to stand, you got to rise up!

This is an ugly world, cruel
Lightened up in a cage of illusions
Love and compassion peeking through
Heart caves, every now and than
Afraid of roam around they stay inside
Till we don’t come back
Unhappy, un-satisfied, back to self!

A world of apathy, and scattered tiny bubbles of sympathy
Painted all over, colors all vibrant
Hiding what lies beneath, what speaks truth
Life crumbles and crawls, desperate to breath
Devil dances, sitting atop it, and
Some dies of hunger, some of bullets
Some gets killed by killers; some gets hunted down by police
Some dies defending by, some dies avenging over
Some gets eaten away by animals, some swallowed by human greed
And, some dies living life too well, till it gives up!

One dies and world mourns, one dies an unknown death
One gets buried in golden coffin, one vanishes like never existed
Does it matter, how and where, once the fleshes deteriorates
Leaving behind a trail of truth, lie and stories
Made up to hide some, to highlight another few
And world wonders, as always!

Truth, does it ever existed
In a workers melancholic eyes
In an artist’s chocking throats
In a dying soldier’s heart, who wished to know
Who he was killing and what for;
Those trembling shadows of ghostly figures
Men, women, kids, infants dying of hunger
In some remote deserts, forests
Watching those machines flying away in the sky
In search of new lives, better, brighter!

Peace, soul yearns for, but where
Not in the womb of such raped soul
Whose dreams are shattered by the cruel reality
Not till you stand, rise up and protect
And let a life reborn itself, upon the thrones of truth!

She Surrendered!

She Surrendered!

To be touched tenderly
To be kissed slowly
To be cuddled right
To get loved all night
Shy, little afraid
She surrendered!

Like a doe, lost on the way
Alone with that shadow in darkness
Squeezing a fear in heart
Unknown, uncertain
Of the rules of play
She surrendered!

Eyes closed, ears deaf
Racing heartbeat, twitching nerves
Breathing heavily and body on fire
She felt an arm all over, that of a sire
Taking over her, desired
Or unable to resist
Losing her senses, unmoved, stilled,
In the grasp of that shadow
She surrendered!

Oh dear! Thy young soul
How would she forget?
The taste of that kiss
The warmth of that embrace
The sensation of being torn away
The pain of being loved
She will remember, remember it all
That first night of love, when
She surrendered!

What Does It Mean To Be Dead?

What Does It Mean To Be Dead?

What does it mean to be dead?
To be silent amidst the talking mouths
To be still while every feet is moving
To be deaf amidst soaring noise around
To be blind while whole world is on display in front!

What does it mean to be dead?
To not to be able to answer amidst all the question raining
To not to feel anything, when emotions are all high around
To not to be able to protest while being taken away
To not to be able to cry, even while burned, buried in the ground!

What does it mean to be dead?
To not to feel that fear, which killed one every day
To not to try to run away, while being chased away by past anymore
To not to feel sadness for the failed expectations
To no to try to hold on to something, that belonged to soul or did not

To let go knowing it all will pass through time
Like sand slips through hand, while being tried to hold on deliberately
When flesh and blood loses its entity, while being washed away by own deeds
And soul flees in silence, to infinity, to eternal peace
At the epilogue a doubt arises in soul
What does it mean to be alive?
Confused, curious, soul wonders
And a search begins, Karma follows, Life continues!

Love, That Night!

 Love, That Night!

An invitation flaunted
A temptation deemed
She came like a hurricane
Seen, unseen, it seemed!

A mist in her eyes, bright
Sparking with a mystery
Talking an age-old story
Heard, unheard, it seemed!

Oh how cold that touch was
Like an icy wind in the midst of desert
Breathing fire, burning desires
Close, distant, it felt!

Lips showed impatience, tongues all in
Teeth went for fleshes
Saliva diluting blood
Nails wrote stories, skin formed words
Hidden monsters indulged
In a fight to take over
To be soaked in love
To get lost in each other
Flames of love burnt the souls
Won, lost, it did not matter!

And they loved
Loved all night long!

A meet with thee!

A meet with thee!

When I went to meet thee

Thee! The almighty, who set the soul free

Soul waited for the moment, to get a glimpse of thy feet

Afraid, shy, found nothing suitable to greet

And there he appeared, with goddess by his side

Eternity filled the void and the soul cried

How blessing, how beautiful they seemed together

Seeking grace, feeling love, heart captured their image

O Kriashna! Radha Krishna!

What could be more eternal than your love

The moment I saw you, life felt complete.

We and Life!

We and Life!

Life and death
Love and hate
Pleasure and sorrow
It flourishes and diminishes
The mirror it shows
Of others and self
Like a river that flows
And flows, and flows!

We await and wait
We love and wait
We fear and wait
We want and wait
We rush and wait
Wait for that moment
That never comes
Or comes and goes
Noticed, unnoticed, and we wait!

We dwell, out of sync
Random thoughts, tricked
We enter, we leave
We fix, we snooze
We choose, we loose
A constant thrive, a booze
We pay and posses
Carves for more and more, poor soul
Infinite layer of empty closets
Still empty, we wonder
We wonder and look around
For something else
For something new!

We miss, we act
We watch, we react
Hero and coward
We struggle, we fight
To find what is wrong
What is right
Things we see, eyes
Open, closed
What we hear, ears
Listening or deaf
We sense, we feel
We wound, we heal
We crumble, we rise
We show, we hide
We relate and relieve
We trust and deceive
We search, we find
Life plays and rewind
Colors float on canvas
But it remains white
Memories has no color
And we live, we die!

A Wild Dream!

A Wild Dream!

The waves rose high and higher
Raced towards me hiding
It’s growing desperation, feet
Digging away the barrage of sand
Chewing its lips in a palpable thirst
Screaming aloud my name on
The moment it saw me coming to its shore
Like a long lost lover by the dawn!

Slowly the sun went sleeping
And, came out smiling moon
Soothing along the breezes,
Caring it like a fawn
But
It was not a night of love
A night of peace, a night of blues
A night to touch, to feel, to sing
Song of love while walking along!
It was a night of bursting lust
A night to taste blood by the lips
To feed the soul those burning flesh
Drenched in saliva, and smell of sweat
As grew the thrust by
Friction of each stroke upon!

Grew the night, moments passed
Darkness spread its reign, and
Silence took over the world,
Suddenly, fell a drop of rain on
Broke one of those wild dreams
Bringing me back from a state of trance
Though, still by its shore, lying along
Watched the sea swaying with self
There came a wave towards me again
As I waited in my solitude, to get drawn!

O Moon!

O Moon!

O moon, blue moon
Why you are not close to me
My heart pleads
Please come near
Please come soon!

A fairy, a dream
To gaze upon
You and your moon light
A sleepwalk on
Feels like an old wine
In which soul wants to get drown

A story, poetry
To watch you grown
Wrapped in thin clouds
Like a lost lady, afraid
Trying to hide her beauty
While walking alone
Through the crowd
Little love, little lust
All eyes glued upon

A sudden twist, mind takes turn
Canvas changes, feelings blown
Black clouds all around, and
You turn into a demon
Like trying to seduce the soul
By face of angel and make-up on

Fear surrounds heart screams
What was real, what was con
Unable to elude the deception
Innocent soul looks within
Echoes a voice
Nothing is real, nothing is con
It’s all an illusion
That we accept and life moves on!

We were still confronting each other
And young night was slowly passing on!

MOVE ON...!

MOVE ON…!

Forget, just forget, and
Forget it all, for now,
Like nothing happened ever
Like it was always as it’s now
Accept the truth and move on!

It may hurt O poor soul that moment
But bear the pain, and walk
Walk till the seeds of it
Grows into a tree of peace
Under the branches of whose
You could put your swing
And play the little game of love
Love to soul, to pain, to life
And when tired, could rest
Beneath the shadow, dreaming of
A chapter afresh, a chapter of
All new dreams, a new Horizon!

And then there would be a moment
One evening, walking down the lane
Happy and love walking beside
Memories will reappear
And, you will remember
Those moments of melancholy
Moments of loneliness, but
They would not seem that bad then
Or you would be thankful, if, maybe
For that chance, for those moments
That brought you close to your soul
And let you rediscover
A whole new you in yourself!

Suddenly, a smile will fly in on your face
And you will just move on!

Dream!

Dream!
Tiny dream
Big dream
Happy dream
Sad dream
Good dream
Bad dream
Your dream
My dream,

Pain in dream
Joy in dream
Tear in dream
Smile in dream
Fight in dream
Love in dream
Let the emotions get drawn in dream,

Let me hold you
Let me touch you
Let me feel you
Let me love you
But, you say you can’t be mine
And I keep you
Safe in my dream,

Reality has murdered me for ages
Let me live a moment in dream!

A Traveler, We are!

A Traveler, We are!

A traveler, we are
Like clouds, we wander
Here and there
Carrying little drops of
Those moments,
Of the loneliness
Which we get drawn in,
Drenched, we let it go
Let it rain, let it wash away
Our soul, that floats then
As the breeze of consciences
Comes calling
Through the rainbow of life
And once again
To complete the assignments
Journey continues!

A traveler, we are
Like a river, we ramble
Through the hills and plains
Rocks and grasses
Caressing scars
Seen or unseen
Losing some of self
Filling the unfilled
We keep on flowing
Drawing a way
Even when there’s none
With a singular desire
To reach destination
We move forward
Roaring and dancing or
Silent and whispering
All just to lose self
In the ocean of truth!

A traveler, we are
We accept the challenge
Peaking through the bubbles of dilemmas
We walk across, those difficult roads with
Ups and downs, plains and curves
Deserts and floods, feet bleeds
We move through
A constant struggle
To make this same journey
Easier for someone else
We travel, travel far!

And, when lost and tired
We surrender to almighty
Smiling from deep within
Then he carries the soul,
On his shoulders
Making it immortal
And the journey continues…

A traveler, we are!

Try, My Love!

Try, My Love!

Try if you could escape prison of my heart
Try if you could blow it apart
Try if you could break it in pieces
Try if you could ruin it, crush it, burn it, forever!

O dear, you are now prisoner of my heart
Walls of my love all around you, goes
High and high, you cannot look beyond
You say I should not have done this
Blame it to my heart
I am prisoner of my own heart now!

Try if you could do it soon
Try before height of my love walls reaches moon
Try if you could keep my love waves calm
Try before it gets you drown!

Try, my dear, my love, try, and try your best
Do not stop, keep trying
Try, until you are tired of trying to go away
Try, until you start loving me back
Until you agree to be a part of my world of prison
And set up a world of dreams
Behind those walls of love
Away from the world, from everyone
Try, I shall wait…

O Sea!

O Sea!

O sea!
When I saw you that night
Lying naked,
Below the transparent cover of moonlight,
On the bed of sand
Alone, your waves as wet hairs
Flying over the face
Your voluptuous body
Floating here and there
And you like a lady
Lost in her own thought
With no sense of shyness
Just waiting for her love
To come and embarrass her tight
Cuddle her, touch her,
Fill her and complete her
Though as grew night
Wait continued, and no one came in sight

When I saw you that night
A sense of loneliness filling the air
A desire to be touched, to be caressed
To be fulfilled, in the shape of clouds
Decked all over you
Conversing feelings of teenage rivers
Fuelling it, and desperation on your face
Silent screams, to reach him, to find him
Your tides breaking limits
Rising high and higher
Like going to bring the moon down
You breathed fire
Volcano erupting in your heart
Tears rolled through your eyes
Salty water, still…

When I saw you that night
Rainy night and storms
Like trying to hide your tears
Trying to stop fire in your body
Trying to dilute your screams
Under its noise
And world thought
O sea, you are the one
Who is filled, and complete!

I can still taste salt in your water
Are you still crying, O sea?

Let’s Play!

Let’s Play!

Let’s play
O dear time
The game of life
In your own courtyard
Under your own shadow
On your conditions
I accept your rules

Play rough
Play soft
Play hard
Play funny
Play fair
Play dirty
Play as you wish
I promise to amuse you

Play to live
Play to kill
Play to build
Play to destroy
Play on your own terms
I would never complain

Play
Like it’s no match
Like you are already a winner
Like there is nothing to challenge you
Like you would crush my existence
For this asininely act
Under your wheels forever and ever, and my soul
Would just vanish, as it never appeared

Even then I wish to play
O dear great Time
Let’s play
I promise
I would continue
I would rise
Every time I fall
I would resurge
Again and again, and
Will continue playing
The immortal game of life…

THIRSTY SOUL…

THIRSTY SOUL…

Thirsty soul
Walking by sea-shore
Looks through the horizon
Infinite water
With a Glimpse of hope
To quench its thirst
Dives through
Deep down
Swallows it all, but
Salt dilutes the blood
Tongue reacts
Spills it all, surprised
It looks to that
Infinite domain
Disappointed, it walks back
To the world, it left deserted,
World, of fading hopes, dead souls
Whose bloods polluted
The river, and
Water became an illusion
Alas! The moment of apocalypse
It thinks for a moment, and a sigh
Sits on the chair
Looks at the table
That still had a paper, a pen
An ink-pot with last few drops
Lying at the bottom,
Thirsty soul
Once again
Swallows it all,
Licks every last drop, of ink
Mixes with the blood
Nerves twitches
Venom or nectar
Uncertain, it dips the pen
In own heart, and decides
To rewrite the history
Of someone
Once called
Human!

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek
That we used to play
Long ago, in your backyard
Making our way through
Those plants of berries
Away from the crowd
From family, from everyone
Just you and me
Playing, hide and seek
Oh Dear! How easy was it
To catch you, to see you
Even behind those berry plants
Because my heart was always filled
With the smell
Of your jasmine body
Because we breathed same air
Dipped in love
That came from heaven, blessed by angels
Because our heartbeat
Sang same song
Even in midst
Of all the chaos around
And I knew
Where you hiding,
I used to find you, always
However hard you tried, to hide
What fun it was, and
You wondered, how could I
Did I cheat?
Did I keep my eyes open?
You used to ask
Showing a sweet frustation, smiling
I used to let you
Tighten your scarf on my eyes
And the play continued.

THAT NIGHT…!

THAT NIGHT…!

That night
When words scribbled, magically
And poetry came alive
Floated in the air
Filled it with the euphony

That night
When you laid beside me
Your chin resting on my back
Hairs falling on my shoulder
Friction of skins keeping the warmth
Mixed smells of sweat in air
Night growing in its temptation, and still
I lost in my own thought
Searching for words that could
Decrypt the emotion, dwelling in my heart
Almost a rage, I kept denying
That I too could have my love
In my arms, burning agony
Watch ticking slowly
Sound of heartbeat in synch
Oh Dear! You felt my pain
Did not speak anything, just
Made me look into your eyes
Where love tides were waving high
Passionate to take me away
Asking me to dive through, and
Exhausted I let myself flow
Weighed under your voluptuous body
An urge to sail through those curves
Seduction took over
Lips locked, saliva flowing across
As I went deep within you
Bodies became singular
With no sense to stop, I continued, and
Your arms tightened, a joyous cry
Tears rolled through your chick
You murmured love
And I could feel
Your nails doing some scribbling
On my back, like sketching my emotion
Trying to give them shape of words
That had a sense of poetry, and we continued
To create those magical moments
To compose the lyrics, to pen down the feelings.

That night
When our heart spoke love
You became my pen, me you paper
And, we created a magic
We penned poetry
Whose echoes still floats
In the chorus, the sound of love!

I wonder if I could write anything
If you would not have been with me!!!

PRETEND!

Pretend
Like you are an actor
As you are doing rehearsal of it
Since your birth
Like you are unknown of
The meaning of being real
As you live in a virtual world
Like you are part of a
Mathematical problem
Where it starts with
Let’s suppose, and
Ends with hence proved!
Pretend
Like you do not feel hunger or taste
Even if you are ripping fleshes
Crushing bones,
Sucking blood out of veins
Of your own
Raising toast, inviting everyone to join
Clapping on your own brutal victory!
Pretend
Like you cannot hear anything
Even if your soul crying its heart out
Mind torn, growing vacuum inside
An unknown fear griping nerves
Of losing self, purpose
Carnage over own shadow, and
A turbulence hit, in a cascade
And you feel nothing at all
Your sense organs been paralyzed
It could do nothing, but to watch
Prohibited of showing emotion, crippled soul!
Pretend
Like you are on a world screen
Your duty is to entertain everyone
Raise the voice, lower your gaze
Broaden your lips, let smile take over
Even if they praise you with
Knives and swords of expectations
Stabs your soul, buries you in the debris of memories!

Pretend
Just do it, as it’s your karma!

*Karma- a willful action you are supposed to accomplish…

I SEE YOU STILL…

As I walked by those pathways
Down the hill, alone this time
Pathways, which were once cherished
With cold breezes, smiling flowers,
Dancing waterfalls, greenery all over, like one
In a picture of paradise, Blossomed
With all imaginative picturesque beauty
I see you still, in that vast green grassland
Sitting, under an old tree, playing
With the grass roots,
Singing a folk song, slowly
Euphony swirling in air, adding
Touches of innocence, making it look poetic
Breaking the eternal silence, in your own style
Like the god of love has come to pamper you himself
And, you unknown, careless of happenings around
Weaving a shadow of dreams for yourself
Decorating it, with those memorable moments
We spent together, holding hand in hand
With a desire of being together forever and ever
With a feeling to get drowned in each other’s eyes,
Filled with unconditional love and emotion
With an attempt to get lost in each other’s appearance
Carving to make it two bodies, one soul!!!

Oh Dear! Such was our love, and those lovely moments
Invokes me still, forces me to look back
Even the promise we made faded slowly
As the time passed by, and life moved on
That seed of love we planted, turned to a
Banyan tree, whose branches hanging out even today
Reminds us every time we passes it by
Down our memory lane, of love
That was nothing less than ideal, and though
We failed miserably, it still lives there
Asking us to spend one more evening, together
Below its branches, to recreate that magic
That hypnotized the world, one
We once were ready to die for
I see you still,
Sitting, Weaving, Singing
And the dream continues…

Me or Her?

Was it good, was it bad
Was it white, was it black
Was it me, was it she
Breaking relationship
Things turning sad!

Was I right, was I wrong
Was she right, was she wrong
Was I fighting, or she did
Question remained
Would love survive or
Is it going to be dead!

Both were asking for
Answer, Who had
Neither me, nor her,
Though questions alike,
Goals alike, to keep love alive
And, for that one moment
Wait continued
Of that first step
Both kept guessing
Whether she would or I should!

Moment never came
Love died quietly
Time passed in night and day
Life moved on,
But still today, they have
That broken thread
Of relationship, once blossomed
In their backyard
And, still an old, half erased page
In middle of a book, read
Love you forever!

Who did write it?
Was it me, or, was it her!
