"Being scared
of moment
When your
shadow confronts you
And asks you
questions
Of your own believes
Slams your
morality and mortality
Acts of tête-à-tête,
you had along in all those nights
Beneath darkness
you found it still
For you
needed to hold a hand
And when
none other you held your own
Though a
shadow, it did
Stood up and
caressed your back
Kissed you,
loved you deep
Yet you
overlooked it, for
There came
light at dawn
And fearing
what would world think
You broke up
with your own shadow
At the
tranquil hours of sunrise,
The very
moment it urged for you to love it back
Pretending as
if nothing happened ever
You walked
past poor shadow at your feet
Believed you
had sunlight to carry you along
Those rainbows,
over hills and woods
Alas! You forgot
there would come dusk soon back again
And it would
be as dark as death himself
And you
would have none other than your shadow
One you left
behind, oh dear!
A ray of
light is more to make you realize
Darkness is
permanent, light is passing, and then
Will you be
sorry, or will you confront
Will you
embrace it being sorry, or
Order it to
follow you forward? And, then it would laugh
It laughs
out loud and mocks you
It knows no
other way, not any mild
For shadows
of darkness are harsh
They make us
peek into own eyes
And confront
own self,
You would
have no choice but to listen,
As one listens
to prayers, before being hanged
With a sense
of dread."
