Slow Motion Life, A Retrospect!

Slow Motion Life, A Retrospect!

Slow motion life
Like one in old movies, with dark shades of
Grey, black and white, no other color, like
Missing the redness, so does temptation
On the face of a newly married bride,
Like one in the midst of city traffic, blowing horn
Noise taking its toll, an unintentional hurry
To get out of the crowd, frustration
To put on the acceleration, fly,
Like one in the streets of a slum
In the middle of a big and bright city
Looking at it like a Lion, ready to swallow
The doe, without making any sound
Though, careless, relaxed poor people
Having round of gossip over issues
How one politician fainted while on hunger-strike
How one superstar had to walk couple of steps
In hot sun for his fans, must be hard for him, a sigh*
And a baby sleeping nearby, with dust all over
Unknown of happenings all around,
Like one in a war-torn city of Afghanistan or Iraq
Where every next step you put
Could bring the death, a terrible one
Where children have forgotten
The meaning of school and play
Still an urge to make it better, though
Sitting in a refugee camp, waiting for milk for her baby
She had a hope that one day it would get back its glory
Her baby would be able to roam freely
And the talk of change would become reality, slowly,

Casanova life keeps on flirting with us,
Enjoying in tranquility all over, deluded
We called it a slow motion life…!
